MS3 progress

I finished Clue 3, and have started clue 4!!!! It's not a good view of the beads, but a pretty fair color representation. I hit a snag with it last night. Knitted too late, and made some mistakes. So I decided to go to bed and leave it for today. Maybe tonight, when it's cooler tonight, I'll get to it.

Other projects: Finished a baby hat for charity, started a new one, dh's fire fighter socks, and a feather and fan shawl. 2 crocheted lap robes are in progress, one of them needs another skein of yarn bought. I have some sewing to do, 2 Renn Faire dresses for a friend, some clothes for my 9 yo daughter, and some charity sewing to get done. Mostly lap robes to be taken to the military hospital for the soldiers there. 2 baby sweaters just need buttons sewn on and they will be complete! That feels good to have them that close to finishing.

I'm getting ready for my Premier Designs Jewelry renewal party! I'll be finishing up 2 years with the company! We just had some 200 or so new pieces released! Very pretty, so I'm ordering some of those, and I'm selling off my older pieces at discounted prices to make room! I bought myself 2 name badges, and a window decal for the back window of my car so I can advertise all over town with my name and phone number. I'd be putting together some pictures and prices soon. I'll be linking from here to my Flickr page for anyone who wants to see them. Most items will be 25-50% off of retail!

Also, we are having a fantastic hostess benefit special right now! Hold a show with me between now and the end of August and get 50% of the total sales in FREE JEWELRY! Normally, we give 30% as the hostess benefits in FREE JEWELRY, plus the four $25 bonuses. Those are still part of it and add alot to your stash. If you are out of town and still want to get some of this, we offer 20% of total sales for catalog parties-- just gathering orders for me. You still can get LOTS for free. As hostess, you also can buy 4-8 items at 1/2 price, depending on total sales, which do add in to what you can receive FREE! Just let me know and I'll be happy to help!

Yesterday's activities and acquisitions

Couldn't get into this to post yesterday, so we'll try today.... I was out running errands, paid bills, dropped off my EMT academy application, and stopped off at my Premier Designs Jewelry manager (mom) to see the NEW jewelry that just was released! Gorgeous stuff! Hostess benefits right now are are a super high point as well! Right now, hostesses get not 30% of total sales in FREE jewelry, but 50% of total sales in FREE jewelry!!! PLUS the four $25 bonuses are still available! This is available from now till August 31st, so NOW is the time to book those parties and get them going! Since I want to order some new jewelry, my existing samples are heavily discounted! 25-50% off the retail price! Let me know if there is interest in those, and I'll get some pics taken to share.

Anyway, back to yesterday's activities.... I went with my manager to run a few errands with her, and since I wasn't driving, I was crocheting on a lap robe for a soldier at BAMC. I actually RAN OUT OF YARN!!! So here we are, over in the Medical Center, at least an hour from home, and I haven't anything to work on. Fortunately, Crossroads Mall was only a couple of miles away, and they have a Hobby Lobby and a JoAnn's there. I went to HL, and $40+ later, I was a happy camper. I got 3 rubber stamps to make a birthday card for my sister-- have to do that tonight and get it in the mail ASAP. Plus a few other rubber stamp supplies, cleaner, etc. I love the Bernat Denim yarns, so got a dark blue of that yarn. There's a knitted scarf called a Clapotis, from www.knitty.com that is popular, so I got my Sinfonia yarn for that, which is the 3 skeins of teal/yellow. Then I saw the Yarn Bee Mosaic Twist that normally is priced at $6.64, and it's on sale for $ .99! So I HAD to get some of those colors. Plus a 16" circular knitting needle so I could start working on something. By the time I got back to my friend's house, I had completed a baby hat! Also pictured.

This adventure took all afternoon, so I didn't get in to work out at my fitness center, bummer there. I just went home and fixed supper for the family, knitted a few more rows on my MS3, started another baby hat, and went to bed.

Today was pretty boring, work, groceries, and home. I was supposed to go to fire fighter training, but my heel spur is acting up, so I'm passing on that. I did send my boys there and they are delivering a jewelry order for me, and showing off the Patriotic charm bracelet. This is a $10 bracelet, put out by Premier Designs, the profits from the sales are being donated to a fund to help the widows and children of soldiers who died in Iraq. In the month of June, they raised $21,000 from the sales of the bracelets, PLUS the company matched those funds, so a final donation was made for $42,000!!!! Sales are continuing, so these bracelets are still available! I have 3 on hand at the moment, but can order more very easily.

Monday

Today is nearly over, no pictures, not much done crafty-wise. I did get over an hour in exercising while my sons were at TKD this morning. Got the new Premier Designs catalog in the mail!!! LOVE the new jewelry, wish I could have gone to Dallas for the BIG National Rally this past weekend. I get to see some of the new stuff in person tomorrow morning! MAJOR hostess benefits are happening for those who will host a party for me-- not 30% in hostess benefits but 50% in FREE JEWELRY for parties held between now and the end of August! For those held before August 5th, I get an additional chance and some FREE Jewelry for my table! No guarantees on that, but the more parties I do, the better my chances are at getting it. Who wants some FREE JEWELRY from me????? Let me know. We do catalog parties, as well.

I went to get my fingers printed at the Sheriff's dept. today, I need that for my EMT academy application. So, that is ready to turn in tonight. We have an Air Life class this evening. Hopefully, this will go better than the Terrorism class we were supposed to have yesterday. Our instructor didn't show up...

I actually have a bit of time now to do some sewing, so better head over to that table and get something accomplished. Everyone have a good evening!

the latest crafting

OK, starting this off, I've never done a blog-- but gotta start somewhere, I guess. Today, after church, dh and I got to eat out ALONE!!! No kids, and then went to a Terrorism Awareness class at our EMS barn. Both of us have signed up to become EMTs, and classes don't start until mid August-- good thing, as we haven't finished our applications! The instructor never showed, so we chatted with the other members for a couple of hours, then came home.

I sewed 12 baby laundry bags for Blue_bonnet_babies, which is a yahoogroup I belong to. These were made from 2 fabrics that i picked up at work, and will work for both boys and girls. These turned out cute, I think.

Tomorrow, is Tae Kwon Do for my oldest 2 sons, I go work out at my fitness center while they are in class. Hope to see some more sewing and knitting while the day passes.

Another of my BIG projects is the MS3
or Mystery Stole (3rd year) knit a long. I'm getting into the 3rd clue of it, as the schedule is working along.
This is my knitting after clue #1. It's a beautiful lacy work with matching beads. I'm sorry to say my camera doesn't do justice to the color I picked. My clue #2 pic does show it off better, tho. I wasn't sure of my expertise in knitting this lacy of a project, but I'm finding it relatively easy to follow the charts, and for the most part, keep the same number of stitches as the pattern says I need.

Here is clue 2 completed. It's a better view of the color, and you can see the beads I used. Had to use my ugly ironing board to pin it out so all can see it in it's glory. I'm about 15 rows into the next clue. Will take a pic of it when that is finished.

Tomorrow is my weekly weighing, and I'll get into how my exercise and dieting is going then.
